Susan Stone
Marriage and Family Therapist, M.A., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I work with adults from every walk of life and in diverse circumstances. The common thread: things don't feel manageable anymore. Life has gotten out of hand, and feelings like anxiety, self-doubt, depression, and disappointment seem to be taking over – if they haven’t already. Some might think they are “going crazy!” Others feel selfish because they crave self-care and a break from never being enough.
My job (and privilege) is to come alongside you to provide support, feedback, and help you better understand things and make plans to improve things. Sometimes, I will validate feelings that you’ve discounted or point out challenges you’ve grown so accustomed to that you brush them aside, even though they are part of what trips you up. Together, we’ll gain perspectives and insights about how to make things better.
Sessions will be via telehealth (live video). While it can take a little getting used to for those accustomed to in-person sessions, the ease of access and being in a space that is familiar and comfortable goes a long way to make up for the distance. Many find that having ready access to their online notes and journals, screen sharing, and the ability to look up information together in session provides extra benefits. As for rapport and connectedness, video therapy doesn’t need to impede these critical features of the therapeutic relationship.
In session, we will review the week for clues about what to focus on. We will talk about how things went and how they could have turned out better. I’ll ask many questions, listen a lot, and work with you to identify options for improving life. You’ll tear up sometimes, but you’ll be surprised how often we chuckle.

Are you interested in therapy but concerned that you can't get to appointments because of the location or the travel time. Do you work from home and sometimes get unexpectedly scheduled in meetings throughout the day? Online sessions are a convenient way to ensure you get the care you need in the convenience of your own home. I welcome clients who wish to to do all sessions online or a hybrid of in-person and online sessions according to their needs. I have nearly 20 years of experience working with clients of all ages on a range of issues including relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma and PTSD, physical, sexual and narcissistic abuse, self-esteem, shame, disordered eating and stress related to toxic work and family environments.
18 Years Experience
Jamie Andersen, M.A., LMFT
Marriage and Family Therapist, Woodland Counseling
I specialize in online therapy working with trauma and loss, life transitions, improving relationships, and maximizing personal growth and provide video therapy when it is appropriate for your needs. Video therapy is an effective way to obtain therapy and has increased access to care. Some clients feel the internet provides greater confidentiality. Some people find that they have a feeling of emotional safety by not having a face-to face interaction which helps them to open up and progress quickly.
Video therapy works well for most people but it is not for everyone. If you are actively suicidal, a danger to yourself or someone else, it is not an appropriate modality of therapy for you. You need to have a private space to participate in video chat where no one else can hear you. It is helpful to utilize ear-buds. You have to be 18 years or older and be physically located in the state of Colorado during the therapy session, as Jamie is not licensed to practice in other states. If you are using insurance we have to ensure that video therapy is a covered benefit, as some insurances do not provide it.

Susan Spicer
Psychologist, PhD
In my online therapy practice, I specialize in EMDR therapy as a transformative approach to assist individuals in their journey towards healing from trauma and narcissistic abuse, ultimately guiding them back to a place of self-love and emotional equilibrium. The lingering effects of childhood physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, along with the enduring impact of narcissistic abuse, can become deeply entrenched within the body, leading to symptoms of depression, anxiety, hypervigilance, and challenges in navigating relationships and daily life.
I employ a video platform known as remotEMDR, which is specifically designed to facilitate EMDR therapy. This innovative approach aims to reshape the way these distressing memories are stored in the brain, fostering resolution and inner peace. To complement this therapy, I incorporate mind-body practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork, all of which serve to amplify the healing process.
Drawing on my background as a neuropsychologist, I possess the expertise to help individuals identify their blind spots, condition their thoughts, and ultimately rewire their brains for enduring happiness and success. My mission is to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to healing that empowers individuals on their path to transformation and well-being.
