Many people living with chronic pain have had invalidating experiences with loved ones and in the medical system. Getting in touch with the body through somatic therapy can be a gateway to unlocking the source of chronic pain. Through gentle somatic resourcing and mindfulness techniques, I hope to support you in changing your relationship to your body.
I am a former athlete who now experiences limited mobility due to chronic illness. This transformation has given me a better understanding of the experiences of others with a wide range of different abilities. It has also provided me with the tools and perspective to better help others who are encountering significant life changes or barriers to wellbeing.

Added to that there is the situation of dealing with pain, illness, disability and uncertainty. Talking to someone who can understand and acknowledge that can be helpful in itself. Mindfulness and acceptance and commitment therapies have been used in hospitals and medical clinics to support people with pain and illness for over 40 years. I have trained in pain management therapies and have successfully helped people with pain and illness to live a better quality of life.
