Psychotherapy is a treatment process which allows clients to have a one-on-one interaction with the therapist. It provides a confidential, safe and comfortable environment where individuals can explore their feelings and behaviors.
We offer specialized treatment to navigate and cope up with Domestic Abuse or Violence.
Domestic violence is not just physical – it can also include a range of power and control behaviours. If you have experienced, witnessed or perpetrated violence or abuse, I offer supportive counselling that helps couples and families bring about positive change, work through trauma, and better manage conflict.
Registered Psychotherapist, HBEd, MA (Hons.), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Being hurt emotionally and/or physically by the ones you love is something I know all too well and witness amongst families all the time. I will teach you how to find you voice and be a survivor and not a victim. It takes one person to end the cycle of generational domestic abuse and violence.
If you feel unsafe with your partner or live in a situation where there is domestic violence, you dont have to go through this alone. We will use a SF approach and work on a plan that is relevant for you.
Tacit has many years of experience working with adults and teens who are in Violent/Abusive Relationships - if both partners are aware of the issues and willing to make changes, she will work with them as a couple. If only one partner recognizes the Violence/Abuse that is occurring, Tacit will work with that individual alone - personal safety will be the priority.
