Knowing the role of a parent. Develop positive parenting skills to support and give your child a healthy upbringing. Parents are the driver of the school bus, not the children. Lets put some healthy parenting skills in place so your children can thank you in the future.

Parenting brings up everything unintegrated, un-dealt with in our selves will easily bring up a lot from our own childhood, and to be in the vulnerability of that, at the same time as caring for a child, depending on us, calls for gentleness and the release of the need to perform according to outer ideals and ideas. As parents, we more than anywhere else, need to okay with being imperfect, and to learn how to see, and meet with another being intimately in the midst of that. Children read us all the time, and if what we say don't match how we "walk the talk" they get confused - more than being and doing the right thing, our children need us to be authentic and honest, so they can know us and see us. To be a role model, doesn't mean to do the right thing all the time, but to not use power where we feel lack, and instead allow them to see your humanness

One of the toughest roles. In a sense that there is not another job like it where you have to be everything. Where you're expected to do a job you've had little or no training for with a very small margin or error required. Being a mother myself, I know only to well how useful support and guidance can be when it comes to navigating this non paid and often unappreciated role as a parent.

Parenting can be one of the greater challenges of our lives, with managing the needs of the kids, as well as our own. With the heavy demands and needs that often come with parenting, we can forget about our own needs, our own hopes, and can lose ourselves a little in the parenting journey. With a focus on what an individuals' needs are, I help parents find creative and unique ways to manage the demands of parenting that feel safe and comfortable, while also exploring what thoughts, feelings, or patterns of behavior that may also contribute to the challenges of parenting. Supporting individuals that parent both neurotypical and neurodivergent children, I help individuals share their experiences in a non-judgmental environment, and help them to advocate for what is best for their child, their family, and for them.
