Registered Psychotherapist, MA, Registered Provisional Psychologist (AB), RP (ON), CT, CCC, CCTP
To help people manage anger, one approach I often use to guide sessions is called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (or CBT). It tends to be a shorter-term, situation-oriented, and present-focused approach, that for example helps people see the difference between thoughts and feelings, and in turn free themselves from unwanted patterns of behaviour. CBT is grounded in the belief that it is a person’s perception of events – rather than the events themselves – that determines how he or she will feel and act in response. CBT can often help with anger and many other issues. With CBT, you’ll be able to examine and question the thoughts that influence your emotions and behavior.
If you think you would benefit from a cognitive behavioural therapy approach for anger or other issues, please contact me today. I would be happy to speak with you about how I might be able to help.

If you are struggling with anger issues or feeling triggered or overwhelmed by anger or resentment please reach out to me. This is a common struggle for those who grew up in a household where anger wasn’t an accepted emotion so it is then suppressed. This can lead to more anger and depression. I love seeing the results my clients get when they work with me on their anger and take control of their emotions . I can provide you with tools to manage it in a healthy way.
