It is not difficult in today's world to feel a sense of isolation - either because you live on your own, or because it can be a challenge to really connect with others around you. We will examine and work to overcome what may drive your social isolation, whether that is not finding a place to fit in, lacking ways to connect with like-minded others, or other physical or mental health barriers to being connected.
Social isolation negatively impacts both depression and anxiety. I will work with you to better manage unwanted thoughts and feelings which interfere with daily living. I will work with you to begin widening your life in a comfortable and non-overwhelming manner.
Removing ourselves from our lives can be a result of many things that we may feel conflicted by. The desire to understand these tendencies is very important to restore what we might hope for in living a meaningful and connected life.
