The relationship we hold with our body is deeply personal and can be challenging at times. When working with body image, it may be helpful to explore how external systems and socio-cultural narratives flood our perceptions about ourselves and our bodies. We can work to deconstruct these ideas that are no longer serving you and reach a place of healing where true love and respect for your body becomes a reality. Please contact me for a free consultation to learn more about my approach and to determine if we would be a good fit.

In my practice, I offer a nurturing and non-judgmental space for clients struggling with body image concerns, employing a holistic approach that combines various therapeutic tools to address each person's unique experience. Through Mindfulness, the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Role-Playing, we delve into the roots of body image issues, working together to shift perceptions and foster a healthier relationship with oneself. This process is about more than just addressing concerns with appearance; it's about understanding and transforming the way one feels about their body at a deeper level. By integrating these strategies, I support clients in developing self-compassion, improving self-esteem, and embracing a more positive body image. My role is to guide and empower you through this journey of self-discovery and acceptance, providing the tools and encouragement needed to cultivate a more loving and accepting view of your body.

Having a good relationship with your body is such a challenge for so many. I know the journey well. I work with many tools to facilitate a transformation the way a person perceives themselves. Developing a friendly relationship with your body takes work especially if the messaging in childhood was not healthy. We dig into the family-culture to fully unpack and understand it. We look at the self doubt, the inner self talk and the habits of self shame. I often will have clients do home exercises in between therapy sessions. Here is an example... I have found this exercise game changing for me and for many of my clients. Try an experiment of no longer looking in the mirror at parts of your body that lead you to deeply criticize yourself which then impacts your self esteem in negative ways. Even if you're the most amazing human being in the world, if you engage in a lot of mirror time that's all about self criticism your self-value will no longer be based on your inner value, it'll be all based on that body part that you loathe. Change your mirror time! Do it for a couple months and see how your self esteem changes. This is an experiment that I did that was highly successful and I share this with clients and they have found it very successful in terms of how they now feel about themselves and their self value.. Change your relationship to how you look at yourself in the mirror now! #bodypositivity #changeyourmirrortime #bodylove #selfesteem #selfconfidence
