Anxiety & Fear are so misunderstood and mistreated, leaving people almost paralyzed. Working with these tools can change your life and these things that are meant to help you, can get back to doing what they were meant to do, instead of robbing you of your life, helping you to live it.

My approach to counselling is to respect and value the uniqueness of every individual and where they are. I work to support them using creativity, with warmth, understanding and at times, a touch of humour when appropriate.

Identifying your anxiety signals and their origins allows you to intervene in responsive ways. Anxiety is a powerful and useful emotion that we do not want to get rid of. However, we do need to learn how to interpret anxious signals, direct thoughts and regulate our experiences so that anxiety equips versus overwhelms us. Together, we can gently untangle the patterns that spiral us toward anxiety or fear-fullness.
Anxiety and fear are normal responses to stress, they can become problematic when they start to interfere with your ability to lead a fulfilling life. We can work together to develop coping strategies that help them manage anxiety and fear. These strategies can include deep breathing exercises, mindfulness techniques, and exposure therapy.
Through therapy, you can learn to recognize the patterns of anxious and fearful thinking, challenge negative thoughts, and cultivate a sense of calm and relaxation. By building resilience and developing new coping skills, you can start to feel more confident and in control of your life.
If you are struggling with anxiety or fear, know that you are not alone. Seeking support from a therapist can be an important step towards finding relief and learning to thrive despite these challenging emotions.
