Throughout life there are many different losses and transitions, which can be difficult to navigate and accept. I aim to create a safe space to process and talk about your thoughts and emotions and in time, come to a place of healing and acceptance.
I have been providing therapy for those facing grief for over 30 years. Grief is a complicated topic that leaves people feeling vulnerable and isolated. The loss of a loved one, a beloved pet, a long term career or facing the aftermath of a natural disaster all leave and emptiness and sadness that can lead to Complicated Grief if not addressed. I also offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in partnership with Journey Clinical, for eligible clients struggling with PTSD as part of their loss issues.
Grief counseling helps mourners with normal grief responses to work through the tasks of grieving.
Grief can include the loss of a special person but also losses of relationships, of dreams not fulfilled, loss of mental or physical health, career or job losses, etc.

Grief has it's own life journey. Grief has stages, but often not in an order we can recognize. Losing a loved one can be debilitating, confusing and often emotionally overwhelming. Walking through the grief process with a therapist can help you understand the intense feelings you may encounter. There are times when you may feel difficult emotions even years later -- maybe what we call a 'delayed grief response.' We can recover from the loss of a loved one. Life may never be the same after a trauma, but the intense pain of the loss is not something you have to live with forever.
I have over 20 years of experience with assisting individuals understand the grief process. I also assist individuals with understanding the difference between grieving and mourning. Grief is a process. Healing is possible.
Let no one say "it's time to move on." You decide. There are stages we all go through. We need to be open and accepting to what comes up to those in need and hurting
