Licensed Clinical Social Worker, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., NASW Diplomate
In private practice for 32 years. I am interested in assisting you with your emotional growth and well-being. It's normal at times in life to have conflicts, but sometimes we need guidance to discover healthier ways to navigate through these challenges to have a more healthy and rewarding life!
I am currently working at a college Pride Center with young adults who have LGBT concerns. I believe that it is important to accept gender identity issues in order to live life as a whole person who has overall knowledge of their personal identity.
Navigating the world when you feel like society isn't in your corner can be emotionally overwhelming and physically depleting. Whether you find yourself struggling with your identity, your relationships, or just your overall wellbeing, you deserve to be supported along your journey. Give me a call so I can help you on your path to healing!
Our goal is to help you uncover your true potential, and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Our practice style is goal oriented using numerous approaches.
I trained at Harvard and Vanderbilt, I have a sense of humor, and I am dedicated to the people who enter my office. If things were fine the way they are you would not need me, so be prepared to be challenged, and be prepared to work hard. I will be with you every step of the way.
I work with a variety of LGBTQ+ issues. I counsel same sex couples, provide therapy for those going through transition, and work with extended family members who may be struggling after someone they love comes out. I have written children's book for kids of same sex parents who are facing divorce. amazon.com/author/loisnightingale
I am a psychologist, marriage family therapist, bioenergetic analyst, and psychoanalyst with more than 30 years of clinical experience in treating adolescents, adults, and marital couples. I am skilled in helping a person to feel understood and related to in a new and helpful way.
As a queer clinician, I aim to support you through creating a validating space where we can learn about ourselves and not feel alone in the struggles of our identity. It can feel isolating in a heteronormative society and I am here to give you the space and time to feel heard and seen.
