Spirituality issues can be very challenging. I can help patients who are questioning their faith, or who are recovering after leaving a religious organization.
I have an underlying belief that we are spiritual beings. I also acknowledge that spirituality is a personal and unique relationship. I honor your beliefs and want to foster them towards your highest good. Unfortunately, as we move through life, experiences may challenge our spiritual understandings leaving us in spiritual crisis. If spirituality is light, without it, the seeds of joy and compassion cannot thrive. We will work to find your light.

In our sessions together, I will hold space for your spiritual experience and explorations, being curious about your journey, my intention is to honor your views and values.
Why are we here? What happens when we die? Why do good things happen to bad people, and bad things happen to good people? What is the purpose of suffering? These are spiritual concerns, and they flit and nibble at the edges of our day to day lives, eventually leaving us threadbare and worn. Let's begin to explore these concerns, and patch up the holes of our tapestry.
My background is based in Mindfullness training and Soto Zen. I am both an ordained Buddhist and practicing house holder. This foundational practice of meditation and insight, helps me work with clients in the moment, working with breath and mind to let a new language arise.
Spirituality can mean so many things to so many different people. What does it mean to you? Sometimes we feel like we can't talk about it with our therapist, however for many of us spiritually is a core element of our being and it is ok to bring it up. I welcome incorporating spirituality into therapy, no matter what your spiritual or religious beliefs are, as well as for atheists and agnostics. As an ordained minister in the Buddhist faith, I have my own commitment to a spiritual path and knowledge of many other spiritual traditions. I also have specialized training in contemplative practices such as mindfulness and self-compassion.
I am a deeply spiritual person and love supporting clients in discovering and incorporating into their lives their own relationship with spirituality. Spirituality can be a big support to us in our lives.
Whether you are looking to deepen or transform your relationship to spirituality or religion, or perhaps heal from a harmful experience from your faith background; I am happy to support you on your journey of healing and working towards a deeper sense of meaning in your life.
