Living in a high stress society has increased the amount of anxiety and fear experienced by many. In treating anxiety, I help individuals face fears, build coping skills, and change their perspective on stress.
I have extensive experience working with anxiety. I help clients understand that their anxiety is a way they have protected themselves. And once we understand what it’s trying to protect them and why I then offer other ways of supporting the underlying vulnerability that don’t get in the way of moving toward the life they want.
Using hypnosis I help train your mind to direct the power of your imagination towards relaxation instead of worry. The connections from your mind to your body that can cause physically exhausting reactions to irrational fears or phobias can instead be used to calm your mood, relax your body, and clear your mind.
Is your anxiety productive sometimes? Fears of what others think of you or worrying about letting others down can fuel working long hours, over-preparing, and perfectionist tendencies. However, anxiety can also lead to procrastination, a harsh inner critic, running the tape of past conversations on repeat, over-eating, or troubles sleeping. Sometimes the worries seem endless and the angst leads to physical discomfort, neck/shoulder tension, and stomach pains. Fortunately, research shows CBT can improve anxiety symptoms within 8-12 sessions.
Suffering from anxiety can be debilitating and overwhelming. I'm here to help you uncover the roots of your anxiety and implement new ways to cope with life's stressors. I lean on body-based practices, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques to manage symptoms of anxiety.

The anxious mind takes us out of the present moment and into a future narrative that may or may not ever exist. We can learn how to anchor into the present moment again and again.
Sometimes we feel stuck in the same loop, thinking about the same things, making the same decisions. Have you struggled to sleep at night or get things done because you’re ruminating about a thought or situation? Do you struggle to make decisions or constantly worry about making the right one? Not sure how to address a conflict? You're not alone, sometimes our anxiety can become overwhelming. I can support you in learning effective coping skills, challenging your thoughts, and changing your thinking patterns to help you reach your goals in the space of therapy.
