Through an accepting and supportive guidance, I work together with adults, teenagers, and families using proven therapeutic techniques to provide solutions to their concerns. I empower clients to clarify goals and guide them to communicate more effectively and feel better in their relationships.
When working with clients struggling with ADHD, I approach from a strengths-based perspective, delving into the pressures they face. Together, we re-frame experiences within an empowering narrative, allowing clients to cultivate a sense of agency as they navigate life where the impact of ADHD is diminished.
I will help you establish specific goals to address what prevents you from moving forward. We will establish the steps to accomplish these goals and identify what is blocking you from reaching them.
Does your ADHD define you? Does it actively haunt your every step, impacting work, school and relationships? It doesn't have to be a demon you battle constantly. It can be tamed, it can be integrated, it IS you, and there are tools and approaches to help you befriend and embrace your ADHD self.
Marriage and Family Therapist, M.A., Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
As someone diagnosed as a child with ADHD, believe me when I say I understand the challenge. For years now I have helped children, teens, and adults manage their ADHD and channel what can feel like a disability into a superpower. If you're interested in learning more, let's connect.
I love working with adults with ADHD because, first and foremost, I am one. I believe that ADHD is a superpower, and take a strength-based approach to this work. Historically, most therapy for ADHD tries to squish your brain into the dictates of a society it wasn’t built for, but as a neurodiversity-affirming provider, I believe in helping you to change the fabric of your life and the rhythm of your routines to be more amenable to the fabulous way your brain already works. ADHD brains are extraordinary at multitasking, hyperfocusing on compelling things, developing a wide variety of interests, empathically connecting with others, building strong relationships, and leaning into creativity. ADHD can also come with challenges, like executive dysfunction, forgetting to practice basic self-care, or being susceptible to getting hurt by others, and my goal is to support you in managing these things while leaning into the assets of your neurodivergent brain. For help with learning to embrace your ADHD as a superpower, and support in managing its challenges, reach out to me. I look forward to meeting you soon!
