While I work with adults and couples, I specialize in treating children and teenagers. I treat children and teenagers who are dealing with depression, who are suicidal, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, cutting, bipolar to name a few issues. I also work with high conflict divorces.
I believe everyone has the potential to meet and overcome life's obstacles. I am direct and empathetic, providing a safe and compasssionate place to work with you through life's challenges and to regain stability in your life. Call or email today to begin making your life more manageable.
In session, we will explore and process your feelings and emotions around the divorce or separation. My intention is creating a safe space to allow you room to explore your complex feelings and to honor your specific experience.
Although I do not work with couples, I do work frequently with people adjusting to life during and after a divorce. It can feel like a failure or the death of a dream of the perfect, intact family. Sometimes it is hard to picture a new normal so coming up with new identity and plans for the future is helpful. Working with an ex partner to co-parent can bring even more challenges but there are ways to help reduce conflict and mange the new life well.
Divorce is traumatic - even the amiable ones. Removing, or changing a significant other from your life can have deep affects on self-esteem, security and identity. I work with transitional clients to rebuild all of those aspects, towards a path of peace and foundational happiness.

We work to help you heal from your divorce and navigate a new life after divorce.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I am also a trained mediator and specialize in working with divorcing couples. I help parents create sustainable parenting agreements and help families navigate the many complexities that come along with a divorce. At the center of my work is an appreciation for the challenges that come along with divorce for parents and their children as well. My approach is always practical, empathetic and oriented towards solving problems.
When relationships break up a great deal of distress ensues. Having lived through this distress myself, and having accompanied many people as they go through it, I support people to discover an expanded sense of themselves beyond the breakup: it can feel like the end of the world at the time. But, it is an opening to a new and different life, and being closely accompanied as you discover this is a blessing.
