I am member of the International Stress Management Association. I have a holistic view of mental health and wellbeing, helping clients to look after their mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health to thrive in life and overcome their anxieties and fears. I work collaboratively with my clients using both counselling and coaching skills to help promote positive, lasting change.
I have had years of success working in this area with men, women and teenagers. Through a simple process we can understand your anxiety, learn where it comes from, understand how to manage fears, and learn to befriend and utilise it rather than fear it.
Counselling provides a space for you to explore your experiences and feelings in a respectful and confidential space. The focus of the conversation is to understand your experience and provide support to explore the ways in which you can introduce change into your life.
I am a qualified hypnotherapist and can impart strategies for managing your anxieties and fears and/or work with you to understand and get the root of your issue with a view to working through it in a compassionate way.

Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear that is a normal response to a range of different situations. However, when we begin to feel overwhelmed or triggered from our past or current life experiences it engages our ‘flight or fight’ response. This happens when our body feels as if it’s in danger, This can be real or interpreted.
When you feel anxious or fearful every day your mental and physical health can be affected: You can feel varying levels of fear and anxiety which can cause sleepless nights, worry, sweating, nausia, hightened emotions and thoughts, feelings of wanting to stay under the duvet or sometimes thoughts of self harming and suicide.
Counselling can help you explore the cause of these feelings, understand them and work though them helping you manage day to day stresses in a healthier way and help you free yourself of possible responses to historic experiences.
