If you are a queer and/or trans/nonbinary person who is Autistic/ADHD/an AuDHDer and you want to find a therapist who helps you work WITH your neurotype instead of against it (as does a LOT of "traditional" therapy), I would love to work with you!
In life, we often face overwhelming challenges that can impact our ability to find joy. As a counselor, I aim to simplify the counseling journey, recognizing it as a path of self-discovery that may be difficult at times. Together, we'll navigate through tough conversations and work toward healing and growth. My goal is to support you every step of the way.
Do you feel lost or stuck? Has your life suddenly gone off track or slowed to a stop? Are you ready to put it back in gear?
If you feel you are hanging on by a thread, don't suffer in silence. Together we can work on letting go of what is getting in your way so you can stop just surviving and instead grow and thrive.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MA, LMHC, DCC, CCM
I have over 25 yrs experience working with individuals facing mental health and substance use concerns. I strive to provide an open safe space with no judgement to discuss thoughts, feelings and behaviors with the intention of creating opportunities for change. These changes may be practiced and adjusted as needed to find a solution that fits the unique person that is you. If one is trying to make a change and has a slip aka "blip in the radar of life". We do not start all over, we look at what was learned with curiosity and start again where we are in the process. This is a shame and blame free zone. We are all works in progress.
My starting point is that virtually all mental health issues result from habits of thought, feelings, or behavior that were adaptive when they were formed but become maladaptive later in life. I begin my work by asking, "What happened to you?" rather than "What's wrong with you?"
