I received my Masters degree in Marriage and Family therapy so I spent a lot of time studying family systems and marital counseling. I help with issues such as infidelity, divorce, family issues, parenting and more. I can also help with these issues in individual counseling.
Marriage, partnership, relationship, committed union - we're all in some connection with other people, and it isn't always easy. Together we will explore more effective communication techniques, greater understanding, and cooperative conflict resolution approaches to promote your relationship becoming more like the one you want.
All relationships take work. If your back is against the wall and you're facing a fork in the road, before you walk away bring in a third party to help you explore issues in your relationship, work on communication, improve interactions and fight fair.
Are you struggling in your relationship? Contrary to what most people think, good relationships require good work. I can help you and your partner increase connection and communication. I can help you develop the skills necessary to thrive and growth as a couple. The past does not need to equal the future. Inside of having the same old arguments, try something different and contact me. Together we will give your relationship the time it deserves to thrive.
Couples therapy provides a safe and intimate location for you and your significant other to focus on building a strong and healthy relationship. I will walk with you through your therapeutic passage of growing together, uncovering new aspects of each other, building positive communication and discovering the love and relationship you never knew existed.
My passion is helping people have GREAT relationships - parent/child relationships, extended family relationships, and especially great intimate relationships. My focus is on helping people connect with the people who matter most to them, and to learn how to connect in the ways that matter most.
Do you feel alone in your relationship? Has your marriage lost that connection you used to have? Does it seem like you don't know your partner anymore? When relationships get tough, I can help you find your way back to each other. Whether it's conflict, communication issues, infidelity, betrayal, or emotional distance, I'd love to help you rebuild your relationship to be stronger and closer than ever.
As a relationship therapist, I incorporate the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach in helping couples and families reconnect and rebuild relational balance. I am passionate in assisting couples with filtering through their individual feelings to encourage empathic responses during moments of distress or conflict. I have a strong desire to support parents of children with special needs that have disconnected emotionally due to the required attention needed to support their child.
Are you frustrated in your current relationship? Do you and your partner seem to have the same arguments over and over again? Has your partner told you things are not going well?
Pay attention! Don't dismiss their complaints! Kathleen can help you minimize the negativity and find solutions.
