I work with culturally diverse individuals and families that are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, low self-steem and much more.
Having a healthy work/life balance helps decrease your overall stress. Together, we will look at your current life stressors and determine what life changes will help eliminate your stress and/ or learn different coping mechanisms to help alleviate your stress level if changes aren't possible.
I approach stress management with a multifaceted treatment approach integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Through CBT, I help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns, while Psychodynamic Therapy uncovers underlying unconscious conflicts contributing to stress. Complementing these, Person-Centered Therapy provides a supportive and empathetic environment, empowering clients to explore their feelings and develop self-compassion, ultimately fostering resilience and emotional well-being.
Stress is a normal part of life. When stress becomes unmanageable, it impacts your body, mood and behavior. I can help you learn new ways to cope, take better care of yourself and understand the cognitive and physiology component that keeps the cycle going.
Stress can come from so many sources in life. I am happy to help clients create a plan of how to understand and manage the stress that impacts them most.
You’re not perfect; you can’t control the universe; and you have limits. Viewing stress through the lens of these truths is often a relief, and therapy can encourage you as you get ready to make positive changes.
Life can be hard. Sometimes we have difficulty communicating with our partner, boss, children, or our parents. Sometimes we have difficulty adjusting to a new environment or new life circumstances. At times, we may feel stuck and unsure of how to make changes in our lives. Other times we may want to delve deeper and truly understand our motivations and desires. Sometimes we just need to feel heard and understood. Having an unbiased, non judgmental person to talk to can help.
Everyone feels stressed from time to time. Sometimes it manifests as anger, anxiety, sadness. You may feel restless, unfocused or overwhelmed. You may lose sleep. The important thing is learning how to manage your stress in a healthy and productive manager so it doesn't impact your health. When I work with clients who are experiencing high levels of stress I look to discover what is causing the feelings of stress while also helping my clients develop productive coping mechanisms.
