Life can be hard. Sometimes we have difficulty communicating with our partner, boss, children, or our parents. Sometimes we have difficulty adjusting to a new environment or new life circumstances. At times, we may feel stuck and unsure of how to make changes in our lives. Other times we may want to delve deeper and truly understand our motivations and desires. Sometimes we just need to feel heard and understood. Having an unbiased, non judgmental person to talk to can help.
Everyone feels anxious from time to time. Anxiety is the body's response to real or imagined danger. Sometimes anxiety occurs frequently and can be very distressing. When I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety I look to discover what is causing the anxiety while also helping my clients develop productive coping mechanisms.

Life can feel scary and overwhelming. Feeling out of control can be terrifying. I believe we can work through those by understanding more about what fuels those fears and the resources we have to manage them. Often, the issue is not external but internal. Getting to know yourself better and trust that person can often help.
I work with culturally diverse individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and stress. I am especially devoted to supporting adolescents navigate the weeds of depression and anxiety (including bullying). I guide clients in developing an intentional mindfulness practice as a management tool for stress and anxiety.
