Stress is an extremely common emotion that brings people to therapy. You are taking a brave step in getting help. I have over a decade of experience to assist you in better managing your stress through Holistic approaches, Person-Centered approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques.
Life can be hard. Sometimes we have difficulty communicating with our partner, boss, children, or our parents. Sometimes we have difficulty adjusting to a new environment or new life circumstances. At times, we may feel stuck and unsure of how to make changes in our lives. Other times we may want to delve deeper and truly understand our motivations and desires. Sometimes we just need to feel heard and understood. Having an unbiased, non judgmental person to talk to can help.
Everyone feels stressed from time to time. Sometimes it manifests as anger, anxiety, sadness. You may feel restless, unfocused or overwhelmed. You may lose sleep. The important thing is learning how to manage your stress in a healthy and productive manager so it doesn't impact your health. When I work with clients who are experiencing high levels of stress I look to discover what is causing the feelings of stress while also helping my clients develop productive coping mechanisms.
Stress is a very common issue that many of us face, and I feel well equipped to help you manage your stress. I draw from several theories of psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy, internal family systems (IFS) and others.
