Anxiety… it feels like a constant at this point. There’s that pit in your stomach or tension that never seems to go away. Your heart starts racing every time you remember one more task to add to the to-do list that already seems never ending. Worry doesn’t seem to capture how anxiety really feels for you. It can seem like it’s taking over your life and you can’t control it no matter how hard you try. If this sounds like you, I’m confident I can help. My practice offers the most effective forms of treatment, to get the relief from anxiety that you deserve. When it comes to treating anxiety disorders, research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option. That’s because anxiety therapy – as opposed to anxiety medication – treats more than just symptoms to the problem.
If you find yourself worried or afraid about what "might happen" in the future, we can work together to help you refocus and anchor yourself in this moment and what is happening "right now" which is the exact moment that you can control.

Anxiety can be overwhelming. The best way to combat Anxiety is to strategically challenge the reality of the thought through processing and belief experiments.
Everyone worries, but when we feel overwhelmed by anxious thoughts and behaviors on a daily basis, it can become incapacitating and interfere with daily functioning, robbing us of the capacity for joy. Anxiety can present as physical symptoms, interfering with our sleep and digestion, or as dysfunctional thinking (such as rumination or catastrophic thinking). Some individuals may experience panic attacks, phobias, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, constant worry, or a general feeling of dis-ease.
Imagine moving through each day expecting that at any moment someone or something will jump out of the shadows to harm you. Living with anxiety often creates this feeling. In my practice, I implement strategies based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR to help clients manage and reduce symptoms of anxiety.
There's stress (felt by most people from time to time), and then there's anxiety, a confusing and overwhelming worry that overtakes your capacity to live a happy life. Anxiety can be addressed by first seeking to understand its origins and untangling the emotional knot.
