I utilize Wholeness and Core Transformation, along with the NLP Grief Process, to help you create a sense of ongoing presence and to understand that though the person (marriage, situation) is gone, you will continue to encounter the VALUES that you loved and treasured in them. With Wholeness we work on the unconscious level to resolve the deep sense of grief.
In my practice, I integrate a range of therapeutic modalities to support individuals experiencing loss or grief. Through art therapy and narrative therapy, I offer creative avenues for clients to express their emotions and process their experiences of loss. Additionally, I draw upon person-centered therapy and compassion focus therapy to provide a compassionate and empathetic space where clients can explore their grief journey at their own pace, while utilizing techniques from CBT and DBT to help them navigate through the challenging emotions and develop effective coping strategies.
In sessions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques may be utilized to help individuals identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts related to their loss, such as guilt or self-blame. Alternatively, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies could be incorporated to assist my clients in managing intense emotions associated with grief and developing effective coping skills. I am compassionate about my approach to provide a supportive environment where individuals can navigate their grief process while learning valuable tools to cope with their emotions and adapt to life changes.
In my therapeutic practice, I often utilize Narrative Therapy techniques to help clients navigate their experience of loss or grief by facilitating the exploration and reconstruction of their personal narratives surrounding the loss. Additionally, I integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to assist clients in acknowledging their emotions, accepting their loss, and committing to actions that align with their values, fostering resilience and meaning-making in the grieving process. Drawing from Person-Centered Therapy principles, I provide a supportive and empathetic space for clients to express their emotions and process their grief at their own pace, honoring their unique journey towards healing and adjustment.
