Hypnotherapist, Hypnotherapist certified by International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association
I teach all of my clients a blend of self-hypnosis and meditation, and assign them to do it regularly (2-3 minutes at a time, 3 times per day). THIS ALONE helps them become calmer people and handle stress better. I also utilize Core Transformation and Wholeness Work to address and resolve your reactions to individual stressors and NLP to disarm the things that trigger stress in you.
"Oh my God, I am stressed out!" How often do you feel this way? Probably more than you want. It's common you may experience higher level of stress when you stretch yourself too thin. Stress management is right up in my alley as I am experienced in helping clients manage their stress. I create a safe and comfortable space to give clients the room to breath, reflect, and rejuvenate.
Through techniques such as art therapy and experiential therapy, I provide creative outlets for clients to explore and express their emotions related to stressors. Additionally, I draw upon CBT, DBT, and compassion-focused therapy to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate self-compassion in managing their stress.
In my therapy sessions addressing stress, I often integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop mindfulness skills and accept their emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations related to stress. Additionally, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to assist clients in identifying and challenging maladaptive thought patterns contributing to their stress, promoting healthier coping strategies and problem-solving skills. Drawing from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy principles, I collaborate with clients to set specific, achievable goals and explore practical solutions to reduce stressors and enhance their overall well-being.
Through a somatic approach, the focus is on exploring the connection between the mind and body to alleviate tension and promote relaxation. I guide clients through various somatic techniques such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and body scanning to increase body awareness and reduce physiological arousal. By incorporating somatic interventions, clients can learn to release physical manifestations of stress, cultivate a sense of calm, and improve overall well-being.
