When you experience trauma, it’s as though that moment is frozen in time. In some ways it does, the trauma may get stuck in an unconcsious part of the brain but show itself in different ways, including various mental health issues. That is why many of our therapists are trained in brain-based trauma intervention such EMDR, Brainspotting. These interventions allow for new neurological pathways to be formed and the trauma to be processed without the need to re-experience the events.
