Several of our clinicians have had previous careers working in public and private schools and have a through understanding the ways ADHD can impact a student. We also love to work with adults with ADHD. Our clinicians use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and pragmatically work on skills such as organization, empathy, social awareness/skills, and planning. This work often involves parent coaching as well and consultation with teachers/physicians if requested. We offer social skills and executive functioning skills camps/groups as well. AHD and neurodivergence can impact all areas of our lives and relationships. With my experience and knowledge we will work together to understand your experience of living with this diagnosis and identify strategies for embracing your strengths and managing the obstacles.
In treating ADHD, I use a combination of behavioral interventions, psychoeducation, and referrals for medication management. Behavioral therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation, aim to help individuals with ADHD develop coping strategies, organizational skills, and improved self-control.
I believe ADHD is a legitimate neuropsychological condition that often requires more than willpower to manage. It can also be a source of unique strengths; some may call it a superpower. My approach focuses on empowering individuals with ADHD through skill-building, strategy development, and confidence-boosting techniques, helping them reach their full potential.
