If you have been told by a health care professional that you may have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or trauma-related symptoms, then you have come to the right place. I offer extensive work with PTSD and trauma using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). CPT is designed to help you process your trauma by helping you to feel 'unstuck'. We will discuss you trauma(s) and the thoughts and feelings you may be having about it. You will participate in a journey of analyzing these thoughts closely and allowing your therapist to help you understand your trauma in a different way.

Being hurt emotionally and/or physically by the ones you love is something I know all too well and witness amongst families all the time. I will teach you how to find you voice and be a survivor and not a victim. It takes one person to end the cycle of generational domestic abuse and violence.
The most important initial goal will be creating a safe and supportive psychotherapeutic environment. Then, together we will be identifying patterns of abuse, causes and steps to be taken in order to protect yourselves and not to get involved into dangerous, life-threatening or emotionally hurtful situations. You will be learning new coping skills and strengthening existing helpful skills, improving self-esteem and increasing confidence.
My approach to supporting those affected by domestic abuse involves empowering individuals with strategies for emotional resilience, personal boundaries, and reclaiming their sense of self. I guide clients through their healing journey with compassion, using therapeutic techniques to foster recovery and regain a sense of personal power.
