Divorce counselling is therapy for individuals considering or going through a separation or divorce. Divorce counselling is the process of working with a therapist to work through the emotional and mental trauma that comes with divorce. Divorce counselling can help people make sense of what has happened in their lives and work through the emotional process. Divorce counselling helps to deal with the impact on our mental health by helping to make sense of what is happening in our minds and address any potential issues.
Sometimes prior to or during a divorce process a couple have the opportunity to learn their patterns of relationship and either move toward and through divorce more gently and don't repeat the pattern with another partner, and sometimes they learn how to have a healthy relationship with one-another.
Divorce can be hard to navigate. A CBT approach will be used to help explore the impact thought and beliefs affect the clients action and mood. A narrative approach will be used to identify their strengths and reframe their current narrative.
In my divorce counseling sessions, I provide a supportive and empathetic environment where individuals and couples can navigate the emotional complexities of ending a marriage. Understanding the profound impact of divorce, I focus on helping clients process their feelings, communicate effectively, and move forward with resilience. We explore the challenges and changes that divorce brings, aiming to manage stress and heal from emotional pain. My approach is compassionate and practical, geared towards empowering clients to rebuild their lives with confidence and clarity. Whether you are facing the initial stages or navigating post-divorce adjustments, I am here to support your journey toward healing and new beginnings.
