I have worked with many couples where they have either grown up in Domestic and Family Violence situations or they are currently living in that situation. Once full assessment is completed, if the DFV is found to be contraindicated to therapy outcomes I would refer on for individual therapy. In circumstances where it would be workable in therapy, I would work with the couple to explore healthy conflict management.

Adri Hunt has worked for 5 years with men who became violent with their partners or children. Treatment and therapy involves dealing with anger and anxiety and developing a healthier sense of self, that is developing self control, self-responsibility and self-agency
