Hello and welcome! I am a registered Arts Therapist and counselor based in Sydney. I provide art therapy and counselling to those experiencing grief or loss in their lives. Through my practice, I make an intentional commitment to support individuals in their health and wellbeing journey. My mission is to enrich and empower the lives of others through creativity and connection. My passion for expressive creative arts has inspired me to further explore how art can be used as a tool for healing, and the ways it can be used in mental health recovery as a psychotherapeutic modality.
Most people will experience loss at some point in their lives. Therapy can help with any sort of loss, whether society validates the grief or not. Therapy is an opportunity to explore your feelings and memories without judgment. No loss is too big or too small to warrant support. You do not have to endure your grief alone.
Having lost many family members I have experienced grief first hand, I can provide an empathetic approach to your loss, we can work together to create meaningful approaches to navigate your life with the loss of your loved one.
I have worked with many people from different cultures around grief & loss. Grief & loss is not limited to death, it is also a major component in dealing with chronic illness/pain. It also includes end of life care, which I have supported terminal patients & their loved ones through.
Psychologist, Masters in Clinical Psychology, Ph.D.
We grieve all losses, not just the loss of life. It is surprising how a few consultations can help reorganise one's emotions after a loss. In the case of a death, grief does not always need therapy. But grief can so easily become 'complicated' by one of many issues (trauma, suicide, the nature of the death, our relationship with that person, or how they died) and then therapy can help free up the natural processing of a loss.
Registered Psychotherapist, Masters of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy (MCAP)
I am a Grief and Loss specialist and have done a lot of additional training since the completion of my Masters. There is a lot of grief and loss around us in our present day or our past and I find this work very rewarding watching someone develop purpose and hope in their lives after such a difficult time.
Grief and loss is at the core of my practice. I provide a safe space to nurture clients who are grieving a loss, whether it be bereavement, loss of relationships or ambiguous or disenfranchised loss.
