I have spent much of my career working at substance abuse setting from in-patient to residential, Partial hospitalization, intensive out patient and out patient settings, in Los Angeles, New York and New Jersey, supporting individuals and their families in coping with the effects and impact of addiction, learning new ways of coping and interacting in relationships, helping to build healthy individual and relational systems that support wellness and recovery.

I do not require sobriety from an incoming patient, although I do ask that the individual avoid substance abuse 24 hours before a session. I generally advocate for a recovery program, but do not require it.
