I understand anxiety as a sense that we sometimes need, to let us know of real danger. It becomes a problem when it IS the danger, itself. I primarily work with it behaviorally, as anti-anxiety medications can be addictive.
Anxiety is the feeling you have when you don't know what will happen in the future. I have successfully helped clients with anxieties, big and smaller, like worrying about what others think of you, or how to feel safe after a sexual assault, or what your life will look like after the death of a partner. We all feel anxious sometimes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a lot of uncertainty, and therefore, a lot of anxiety. I look forward to helping you.
