Depression can be a mind-killer. One of the biggest problems with it is that even when a person knows what they can do to help themselves, they're too depressed to do it. I do recommend that seriously depressed persons consider medication. Anti-depression medication is generally not addictive.
Do you feel sad? Or has it become difficult to experience pleasure from activities or social connections? Do you have feelings of guilt or low self-esteem? Many people feel depression at some point in their life. Sometimes depression can be triggered by painful life events, and often depression can be a recurring pattern from early in life from childhood stressors or traumas. Together we would work to better understand your depression and make changes to improve your life.
