Chris has experience in helping clients deal with past trams by offering therapy and counseling to help lower feelings and provide emotional closure. Often clients bring in the past via memories, increased emotions, nightmares, increased awareness. With current reactions individuals and families may not understand why a strong reaction is in the current. Chris helps explain and offer therapy techniques to heal from the past.
Emotional abuse therapy aims to rebuild the self-esteem and confidence of the victim. It also works to identify healthy relationship principles such as relationship roles, rights, and responsibilities.
Emotional abuse therapy aims to build self-esteem, self-worth, and assertiveness and boundary-setting skills. Emotional abuse recovery assists victims in clarifying their relationship needs and finding ways to get such needs met. When applicable, therapy provides a safe place in which to process and come to terms with relationship loss.
We believe that the counseling environment should be a safe space where clients are able to be their authentic selves, while expressing complete vulnerability.
