I spent a year training on a DBT team working with clients with BPD. I regularly use the skills in my practice and enjoying working with clients with BPD to this day.
As a dedicated therapist specializing in BPD, I'm here to provide you with the support, understanding, and tools you need to embark on a path of healing, stability, and authenticity. Through evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), we'll develop practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving interpersonal relationships, and building a stronger sense of self.
If you have a history of unstable interpersonal relationships, high sensitivity in interactions with others, all-or-none thinking, low tolerance for perceived rejection in relationships, and/or low self-esteem, you may have Borderline Personality Disorder.
Many of our therapists are trained to provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which is considered the treatment of choice for Borderline Personality Disorder.
I have been treating Borderline Personality Disorder for many years. Therefore, it's an area in which I have particular experience. I use a skills-based treatment called Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to focus on teaching my clients techniques in the areas of emotion regulation, relationships, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. Please note that I offer a modified version of this therapy that includes individual therapy only. A full program in DBT typically includes both individual therapy and group therapy which may be a more appropriate fit for you. You and I can discuss which option is the best for your needs.
