Healing from trauma and PTSD is possible. As your compassionate guide, I provide a safe haven to navigate these challenges. Drawing on evidence-based approaches, we'll work together to process trauma, build resilience, and reclaim a sense of safety. Let's embark on a journey towards restoration and empowerment. You are not alone; support is here for you.
Experiencing trauma and/or living with PTSD can profoundly impact every aspect of your life, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and isolated. From a therapeutic perspective, it’s important to understand that your pain is real and your feelings are valid. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences, process your emotions, and develop coping strategies. Healing from trauma is a gradual process, and therapy can guide you towards reclaiming your sense of safety and control. You deserve to feel supported and empowered on your journey toward recovery. Remember that seeking therapy is an incredibly courageous step.
Traumatic or life-changing events may have resulted in the formation of mental and emotional wounds that affect our emotions and thoughts about ourselves and others at various periods of life. I am committed to assisting clients as they strive to gain insight, develop, and embark on their own personal healing journey. While everyone's path to healing is different, I aim to be a caring and empathic presence for you during this time.
At Atlas Therapy we take a trauma-informed approach when working with clients. Our therapists are trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Somatic Therapy and Brainspotting to help clients process trauma both on the cognitive level but also that which is help in the body and nervous system. We provide a safe and supportive space for you to work through your experiences, address associated symptoms like flashbacks or nightmares, and develop healthy coping strategies. By fostering a sense of safety, trust, and empowerment, we help you to rebuild your life, regain a sense of control, and find new meaning, joy and resilience in the aftermath of trauma.
Taking a trauma-informed approach to supporting survivors, my goal is to help you feel safe, build a sense of self trust, allowing you to live in the present moment. Trauma can be more than the experiences of an individual but can also often be inter-generational. Together we can uncover the story of our personal and familial trauma, and begin to re-story our experience bringing in resilience, and strengths.
Guilt and shame are blockers that prevent the person from feeling their emotional world. We are not what happened to us, but rather what we choose to become.
Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, panic attacks, numbing, dissociation, fawning, sadness, shame, or trouble coping? Our clinic specializes in trauma and PTSD. We can offer a genuinely caring space where you can begin to feel safety and healing.
When the past keeps breaking in to the present and leading you to live in ways that might have worked before but certainly do not work now, that is the place for us to work together. I am here to help you identify how trauma breaks into your life and find ways to keep the past from controlling your present.
Have you had experiences that have made you feel traumatized, and you're not sure what to do with the thoughts, feelings, and memories of this? Let's work together to get back in touch with feelings of safety (Clinician is not able to work with diagnosed PTSD).
