Domestic abuse and violence is a crime and is very difficult to process alone. Through out work togehter we'll unpack how the abuse impacted you and work through its insidiousness to try and heal and improve your quality of life and relationships going forward.
I specialize in providing support to clients who are grappling with domestic abuse and violence, whether it is currently impacting their lives or they are in the process of recovering from past traumatic experiences. My approach is client-centered, meeting individuals where they are in their journey, assisting them in making informed decisions, and offering strategies to cope with the complex emotions that often arise from being in or recovering from an abusive and violent relationship.
Are you in a situation where you are afraid to talk about domestic violence or abuse in your childhood or in your present situation? Our conversations are completely confidential and secure. Being silenced to talk talk about your feelings, creates an opportunity to allow your dignity, identity and character grow and transform.
Domestic violence is not just physical – it can also include a range of power and control behaviours. If you have experienced, witnessed or perpetrated violence or abuse, I offer supportive counselling that helps couples and families bring about positive change, work through trauma, and better manage conflict.
