Laura Farberman
Registered Social Worker, RSW, MSW
Currently accepting new clients. Therapy is the journey of becoming free to be ourselves. Instead of becoming a better version of ourselves, we can connect to who we are at our core, without the coping mechanisms we unconsciously took on to survive. These ways of coping, often wired into our brain and nervous system, can show up differently for each person. For you, it might be perfectionism, procrastination, an inner critic, low self-esteem or anxiety, to name a few. My approach combines the best of practical psychology, science and grounded spiritual psychology. I make the roots of complex emotions, behaviours and addictions accessible and actionable so that you can achieve sustainable change and true transformation. I am trained in Compassionate Inquiry, a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that reveals the patterns beneath how we present to the world amongst other psychotherapeutic modalities.
Through Compassionate Inquiry you begin to recognize the unconscious patterns, which show up as triggers, traumas and ways of coping and suppressing emotions, and how to become free from them. I support clients to reconnect with their bodies, via somatic experience. Benefits include, relief of symptoms of chronic pain, anxiety, depression and addiction.
Soulful Therapy is a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to psychotherapy and an effective way to begin down the path of introspection. It is a place to process what’s going on in your present, make sense of your past, or explore factors that may guide choices to cultivate a life that feels self-compassionate, vibrant, and authentic above all else.

Gwen Shandroski, Expressive Arts Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist
Registered Psychotherapist, M.Sc, S-LP(C), R.P.
I help my clients/patients feel comfortable to begin therapy. I have gone through this process as a client and as a therapist many times. Feeling understood and having someone help you take a look at what is going on can be very refreshing and provide some hope. My background in speech-language pathology has prepared me to work with clients who have difficulty expressing themselves. Expressive arts therapy is an alternative way to reach feelings and represent the experience you're having.
