Self-esteem reflects how we think and feel about ourselves. If you're noticing that there's a pattern of thinking poorly about yourself, and how you're viewed by others, it may be a sign that you're experiencing low self-esteem. Low self-esteem can be something we experience overall, but can also arise in specific circumstances such as relationships, body image, intellect, etc.
Improving on our self-esteem includes exploring where these thoughts and judgements came from, how to challenge them, how to provide ourselves with compassion, and of course, how to change our responses or behaviours to improve our confidence.
