Being hurt emotionally and/or physically by the ones you love is something I know all too well and witness amongst families all the time. I will teach you how to find you voice and be a survivor and not a victim. It takes one person to end the cycle of generational domestic abuse and violence.
Domestic Abuse and violence is very complex. Ther are many reasons why people feel they have to stay. Building safety plans, having deep compassion and building a strong sense of self within the client.
We help our clients find themselves again and aim to discover their strength. Self-esteem and self-confidence issues, fears and worries, self-image issues and many other topics can be discussed in our sessions.
Our domestic abuse and violence therapy provides a safe and confidential environment for individuals impacted by domestic violence to explore their experiences, address safety concerns, and access support services. We offer trauma-informed care, safety planning, and empowerment-based interventions to help survivors rebuild their lives, regain a sense of autonomy, and establish healthy boundaries. Our goal is to support clients in breaking the cycle of abuse, advocating for their rights, and creating a life free from violence.
My extensive experience working with people that suffered from domestic abuse/violence overlaps with trauma, which also encompasses many symptoms. Breaking the cycle is difficult and absolutely possible! Working with the mind alone is not sufficient because most women understand the pattern and know this is not good, yet for multiple reasons, stay. Domestic abuse impacts much more than the mind, thus healing needs to include much more then the mind. Dropping into our body is essential.
A difficult place to be in that takes courage to get the right support. Anyone in the situation must work on the present situation and also the past that has allowed this to occur.
All our therapists are trauma-informed and can work with you as you make decisions about violence in your life.
