For many of us, the body image messages we’ve received from our external world have become internalized. We’ve created a dialogue for ourselves convincing us that our bodies are not good enough, not worthy of love, respect, kindness or acceptance and that they need to change. Having issues with our body image can show up in our thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationships, and can very easily lead to significant self-esteem issues, anxiety, and disordered eating.
