Registered Psychotherapist, HBEd, MA (Hons.), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I do not like to label persons to having a certain personality disorder. We are all unique for a reason. I aim to guide you to live effectively and to your fullest potential regardless of what defines who you are or what you may suffer from.
Psychotherapy is a treatment process which allows clients to have a one-on-one interaction with the therapist. It provides a confidential, safe and comfortable environment where individuals can explore their feelings and behaviors.
We offer specialized treatment for Personality Disorders.
Personalty is what distinguishes us from others. It is the end result of who we are and our circumstances. We all have a personality. If you are affected by your personality in your dealings with others, or with how you feel, you need help and I can help you.
I effectively work with personality disorders, particularly BPD, using tailored therapeutic approaches to foster emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and a balanced, fulfilling life.
From a psychodynamic lens, I aim to understand the ways in which your personality has developed through a constellation of bio-psycho-social factors: including your biologically-based temperament/constitution; the attachment relationships that have created internal sets of rules and external dynamics for how you interact with others; how you have learned to cope and survive via defense mechanisms; and how connected you feel you are to an enduring sense of self.
I have worked with a number of personality disorders. Please book an initial consultation to discuss the supports you have already accessed and so we can ensure psychodynamic psychotherapy and other complimentary modalities are the right fit to support you.

A person experiencing personality disorder will exhibit a pattern of behaviours and moods that negatively impacts the sufferers and the people around them. Ultimately, the abnormal behaviours and thoughts inherent in a personality disorder can keep the sufferers from functioning fully in their normal lives.
Personality disorders are long-term patterns of behaviour and inner experiences that differ significantly from what is expected. They affect at least two of these areas: Way of thinking about oneself and others. Way of responding emotionally. Way of relating to other people.
