Social isolation affects more of us than we realize; it's a collective experience that we don't talk about enough, and that has been exacerbated due to the pandemic. Social isolation can also affect those of us who experience intersecting marginalized identities, whether we're from the BIPOC or 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and we've had to nagivate system oppressions our entire lives. Whether you're a student at university, an elder in the community, or someone who has recently arrived to Ontario from another place, we can work together to process the impact systems of oppression have had on our lives, work to connect ourselves in self compassionate way, and identify strategies to help us to feel part of the collective again. We'll develop a plan together and actively pursue tasks in between sessions to address these issues.
