Having worked as a Registered Social Worker for over 12 years, I have established an approach to working with clients that leaves them feeling heard and supported. Together we create a space where you can safely and effectively work towards your wellness goals and make positive changes in your life. This may involve talking things through, processing and making sense of difficult experiences, addressing unhelpful thought or behaviour patterns, or establishing more effective coping mechanisms. Every client's journey is unique. My role is to support you in this process by being a neutral, non-judgemental resource.
For those suffering with low mood we work together to identify contributing factors and the ways in which thoughts, behaviours and experiences may be perpetuating symptoms of depression.

Registered Psychotherapist, Joshua Ribalkin, MA, MA, RP
I have experience helping individuals who struggle with depression. I understand how depression can be debilitating and challenging for individuals who are trying to move ahead. I offer individuals coping strategies for managing depression that can help to restore feelings of hope and passion.
Depression can affect anyone and is treatable. As a mood disorder, it can alter a person’s feelings and interactions with the people and things around them.
Using approaches such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (IPT), we can develop coping strategies together. We can work on learning positive skills that quieten negative inner commentary. As well we can look into ways of communicating better, speaking up for one’s self and addressing situations that worsen depression symptoms.
As a social worker for over ten years, I have worked in addictions, sexual assault, hospital social work and private practice. Depression has been a prevalent theme in all of these areas. My work includes identifying themes throughout the course of our life that has led us to where we are at now.
