Having worked as a Registered Social Worker for over 12 years, I have established an approach to working with clients that leaves them feeling heard and supported. Together we create a space where you can safely and effectively work towards your wellness goals and make positive changes in your life. This may involve talking things through, processing and making sense of difficult experiences, addressing unhelpful thought or behaviour patterns, or establishing more effective coping mechanisms. Every client's journey is unique. My role is to support you in this process by being a neutral, non-judgemental resource.
Please feel free to explore my website for more information or to book a free 20 minute consultation.

I have experience working with individuals who struggle with Social anxiety and am knowledgeable and have experience helping individuals apply different therapeutic interventions which reduce their social anxiety.
Talking and interacting with others can be nerve wracking. Together we can develop effective and meaningful tools and strategies to interact with people in a safe (non-threatening) and healthy way.
Social anxiety is common for many and we have found that addressing core beliefs, past experiences and negative automatic thoughts are key in processing through this.
Social anxiety often leaves a person with a life tailored to avoid social situations like the grocery store, lines at the bank, etc. Intense thoughts are produced by over-thinking and catastrophizing future situations, for example, and lead to a self-prophecy that reinforces the negative thinking. We would work together on the thinking patterns that have been so instantiated to ensure they are removed, along with coping strategies and skills to use while change is ongoing.
Social anxiety is one of the most common of the anxiety disorders. Therapy can be helpful to help client's build their confidence and their skills so that they can get back to leading a life they desire.
