We'll address self esteem issues together, whether that's imposter syndrome, not having self-efficacy, not believing in yourself or that you deserve more, through the practice of self compassion and drawing out your inner strengths and resources.
Having high self-esteem is the basis for success and wellbeing in all areas of life. I can help you to understand what may be causing your low self-esteem and teach skills for improving it.

Self-esteem and self-worth are primarily derived from life experience. They can be negatively impacted by early life experiences, a bully at school, an abusive partner, demeaning employer, and so on. The work we would do would be to explore the nature of your self-esteem. You may have positive self-esteem in some areas of your life and low self-esteem in others. We will also see what sorts of internal dialogue keeps the self-esteem down. We will also work on increasing assertiveness as this goes with a lack of self-esteem.

Fundamental to therapy is helping people to feel better about themselves. In working with clients who have traumatic experiences from the past, much of the work is focused on the person's relationship with themselves. This is critical to good therapy, in order to help people be able to move forward in many areas of their lives.
