Self esteem is an inside job. Most of us have made up stories of ourselves to keep us safe from disappointment, failure, rejection, etc. And, unless we take risk and take uncomfortable action, we will stay stuck as a victim with a story to prove we are right. Staying safe and comfortable does nothing positive for our self-esteem. This is where I find it useful to push people a bit from more of a coaching perspective to hold people accountable in taking action in ways they are going to act differently to get the results they want, and by when did you say?
I specialize in working with adults and teens (16+) in recovery from mental health conditions and life stressors. Some of these include anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use disorders, eating disorders, loss, grief, life transitions, women's and LGBTQIA+ health issues and trauma.
Poor self esteem may originate from childhood experiences or society. Enhanced relationship with oneself is important for oneself and in order to have healthy relationships with others. Assertive skills work wonders here.

We all know that social media severely impacts our self-esteem. But we also can't completely avoid social media these days! So how do we build and maintain confidence while being exposed to things that directly work to break it down?? Therapy. We can work on understanding where your beliefs about yourself come from, what role models you had/have that are helpful or harmful, and figuring our how to believe in your own wonderful ability.
