As humans we are wired to be connected, and to know that we can rely on important others for safety and comfort. When we reach for others in times of fear and uncertainty, their responsiveness, care and attention is soothing and helps to regulate our distress. We don't outgrow our need to feel loved, cared for, and held. The Covid-19 pandemic has only exacerbated the loneliness that so many were already feeling. I'll come along side to help you begin to reconnect and reestablish important relationships in ways that can lead to increased comfort, care, and love in your relationships.
Social isolation is growing problem. Numerous studies and research have revealed that loneliness can lead to sever mental health concern where a person feels mentally disconnected even though he is in a crowd and experience a negative thought process. It can be treated through support and help.
All of our services are virtual, meaning that you can connect with your counsellor via Zoom or over the phone. This can help bridge the gap when connecting in person feels overwhelming, or if you have limited opportunities for connection where you are. We can help you to build your social confidence and connect with others 1-on-1 and through the groups, workshops, and events that we run throughout the year.
