Marg Totten Counselling Therapy

Licensed Professional Counsellor, MA, RPC, CPCC, LCT
I believe that women, often carrying the burden for nuclear and extended family, and in other ways, sometimes neglect to care for their own emotional needs or recognize their unique approach to expression of stress and emotions. I am a Licensed Counselling Therapist who works primarily with women in my private practice, and who also has experience in facilitating women's anger management, self-esteem programs and general women's support groups. As a survivor of breast cancer, I have also facilitated programs for other survivors, cognizant of the ways in which cancer can effect self-image and relationships. I am mindful always of approaching all my client interactions intentionally with empowerment, sensitivity, depth, and empathy top of mind as I journey with women through various life stages and circumstances.

Women come in all sizes and shapes, and we can have issues that can span through many different circumstances. We may be struggling with our femininity, our changing bodies through life cycles, sexual maturity and activity, fertility treatments, pregnancy, motherhood, childlessness, menopause etc. I aim to create a safe space for women to explore their concerns and collaboratively work towards their treatment goals, as I strongly believes that individuals are experts in their own lives.
