Much of my experience has been focused on treating trauma, and PTSD. I have worked in an in-patient residential treatment program for trauma, and have been trained in evidence-based models of treatment for PTSD (Cognitive Processing Therapy). I would be honoured in supporting you in your recovery from trauma - I hope to help people feel safe again - in their minds; in their bodies; and in the world around them.
As a trained Critical Incident Debrief Counsellor, I am trained to work with trauma both in its immediacy and after significant time has gone by. In a safe space, the client and clinician will deconstruct the trauma and work to heal.

PTSD means that when faced with certain environmental stimuli similar to those present when you were traumatized, you develop the same or similar-level of physiological and emotional responses to the present circumstances even in the absence of additional trauma. This requires specialized training in the assessment and treatment of the condition for you to feel better.
