My focus at all times is to include both parents in therapeutic work regarding postpartum depression as mothers are often burdened with being the sole patient. While post partum depression needs to be assessed with respect to organic causes, it also needs to be understood with respect to the mother's relationship to her partner and her own early childhood and life history.
Post-partum depression can manifest in many ways. Life isn't the same after having a baby, but I am here to listen and to help you get back to your life.
Perinatal depression and anxiety is often commonly referred to as ‘postnatal depression’ and can start during your pregnancy, immediately after birth or in the weeks or months after the birth of your baby. We can support you and your family during this critical time to help manage your emotions and thrive as a parent.
